The materials with which we work are: PP, PE, PUR, PA and POM. These materials can be used for both die casting and extrusion techniques.
Die casting involves melting plastic, that has been obtained in granule or powder form, into a viscous mass. This plastic is then injected at high pressure into a mould in the shape of the desired product. The plastic solidifies as it cools and the desired product is created. Die casting enables complex products to be created. Because of the costs associated with creating a mould, die casting is only suitable for serial production.
Extrusion is a shaping technique whereby the basis material is compressed using a mould. The mould contains one or multiple predefined holes that determine the shape of the final rod material (the extrusion profile). This may be a solid or a hollow profile. The advantage of extrusion, in relation to die casting, is the ‘endless’ amount of shaped material that can be produced.
